General information
The revised SPG 2002 (Security Police Act) included changes to the law governing lost property. According to the revised law, municipalities are now responsible for acting as the Lost Property Authority, rather than the police.
Caution
If any item is stolen rather than lost, the police (→ BMI) will always be responsible for investigating the theft.
