Transferring to ID Austria from the mobile phone signature system

Since 5 December 2023, users with a mobile phone signature must switch to the ID Austria. The changeover process is started automatically when you log in.

If your mobile phone signature has been officially registered by the relevant authority, you can upgrade it to ID Austria, and get full access to all the features of the new system straight away. If your mobile phone signature has not been officially registered, you can switch to the basic version of ID Austria. To access the full range of features in ID Austria – including the ability to present official ID documents electronically – you will need to register your account with the relevant authorities.
