Bank cards

If you notice that one of your bank cards has been lost or stolen during bank opening hours, go to your bank's nearest branch in the first instance.Your bank will be able to provide details of any blocking fees you may have to pay, and any costs associated with issuing a new card. Outside of your bank's opening hours, your credit card company's customer service hotlines will be available around the clock.

If your card is lost or stolen abroad (outside Austria), telephone your credit card company's customer service number immediately and arrange for the card to be blocked.. Advice

If your bank card is lost or stolen anywhere Austria or abroad, you should always report the loss or theft by filing a lost property report or theft report.
