Babysitters usually meet the definition of marginally employed persons (→ USP) and can be paid using the online "Service Cheque" (DLS).
Under Austrian law, the DLS system can be used to pay, register and insure employees for work carried out in private households, provided the remuneration paid by the employer does not exceed the low income threshold.
