Proof of identity

Anyone wishing to apply for an identity card is requested to schedule an appointment with one of the designated offices^{German text} (online, by phone e-mail) in order to keep waiting times to a minimum. In the case of administrative procedures at regional police directorates or police commissariats, scheduling an appointment online^{German text} is in any case recommended.
