You can order your extracts from the Central Civil Status Register (ZPR) here.

Advice

In order to use this service, your data must be available in the Central Civil Status Register.
If your data are not yet recorded in the Central Civil Status Register, you will receive a notification message when accessing the service. 

To have your data recorded in the Central Civil Status Register, please contact a registry office to request that it be entered in the register.

You may order the following extracts from the Central Civil Status Register (ZPR):

  • partial extract on birth
  • partial extract on names
  • partial extract on all marriages
  • partial extract on all registered partnerships
  • partial extract on the existence of a marriage or registered partnership (certificate of single status)
  • total extract of all civil status cases registered in the ZPR
  • life certificate

The partial extracts may be presented as documentary evidence in legal transactions.
In the partial extracts on names, marriages and registered partnerships, the preceding names, marriages and registered partnerships are also listed.

The full extract contains the personal data relating to all civil status cases registered in the Central Civil Status Register.

This online service is provided free of charge by the Federal Ministry of Finance.
