In its ruling of December 12, 2019, the Constitutional Court (VfGH) repealed parts of the Basic Social Assistance Act („Sozialhilfe-Grundsatzgesetz“) and a provision of the Social Assistance Statistics Act („Sozialhilfe-Statistikgesetz“) as unconstitutional. The regulations regarding the maximum rates for children and the linking of social assistance to language skills were unconstitutional.
